At first, of grave danger one thinks
In solemn fright and awe one sinks
But a way out is sought with care
An immediate strike, you don't dare

Yet a sharp contrast surfaces
He sleeps and sweet dreams embraces
Your mind wanders for a rescue
Yet the creature means no harm too

Black is beautiful
The African Woman is black
The African Woman is beautiful
For there's nothing good she lacks

She sits at the centre of the universe
The Sun on her right hand
The Moon on the reverse
Mother Earth on her head stands

She is strong and able
She handles complications
She is focused and stable
She makes food ready on our table

For I have a beautiful song to sing
All for Mama Africa
Through the universe it'll ring
Africa my Africa

Slavery is solely on the mind

What you think captures your thought

                                                           Turns you blind

                                             And makes your prestige naught
